Beyond the Interface – London Exhibition

The interface is the boundary across which information is exchanged, causing a transformation in one or both sides of that boundary. Between individuals, corporations and states; beliefs and disciplines; components of computer systems; or machines and living beings. Seduced and habituated, we forget to question how we are dominated and reprogrammed by the very facilities that are supposed to free us as part of the Digital Revolution.

Digital Musical Instrument Hack Day

Wednesday 20th May / 10:00am – 4:00pm G2 (Media and Arts Technology Lab), Ground floor, Engineering Building, Mile End Road, Queen Mary University of London, E1 4FZ A daylong event featuring hardware hacking and audio programming for creating new digital musical instruments. It will introduce the D-Box, an open-source ‘hackable instrument’ which can be circuit-bent and rewired by the performer to create unexpected new sounds. Each performer will use a D-Box, beginning with modifying the hardware, and then writing new audio code to run on the instrument. Can I attend Digital Shoreditch 2015 events if I don’t have a Day Pass or Full Festival Pass?

Yes you can, many events are open to the public however you may need to collect a wrist band or rsvp to the event, see the RSVP column below. Open House events do not require a Digital Shoreditch Festival Pass or Day Pass buy may require a separate ticket.

I have a Day Pass or Full Festival Pass does this get me into every event?

You will be able to access all Digital Shoreditch hosted events. Some events may require a separate RSVP
